Welcome to level 5 of the step-by-step core course! This level is aimed at pre-intermediate students (CEFR level A2), introducing more complex grammar such as the present perfect tense, passive voice and conditional sentences. Lessons link to more diverse out-of-school contexts such as health, the environment and celebrities. Each lesson is designed for 25-30 minute classes
Note: This level is due for a complete revamp later this year. The structure of this unit will change significantly. Currently, lessons are in our old format and do not have many supplementary materials.
Unit 1: Healthy body
This unit discusses parts of the body and the importance of exercise.
Unit 2: Healthy diet
This unit consolidates the past simple tense and introduces more irregular verbs.
Unit 3: My house
Note: This unit has since been moved to level 3.
